School Readiness Father Empowerment Community Engagement
Our School Readiness Programs provide fathers with unique opportunities to engage with their children by participating in programs designed to encourage fathers to play an active role in their child's education. We know the first 5 years of a child's life is critical to their development. Participating in our School Readiness Programs fathers begin to strengthen that bond with their child during these critical moments of development. Early education is often overlooked when it comes to father/ male engagement. It is our mission to provide a safe space for fathers to participate in literacy, STEAM, Nutrition, and Parent Ed. programs so fathers can experience first hand the vital role they play in their child's academic development!
Man Cave support groups are safe spaces for fathers to develop strength based parenting skills that empower them to lead in education and community programs. The Man Cave workshops are a critical component to father engagement. Taking a "Iron Sharpens Iron" approach empowers fathers to share their childhood and parenting experiences.
Community Engagement is is one of our many program goals. We strongly believe the key to building successful programs is to have successful partners. Our collaborative partners supply us with donations and incentives so we can provide resources to our fathers and families. Whether we are collaborating with a food distribution, providing activity kits, adopting families for holidays. It is our mission to support fathers and families who are in the greatest need of life's essential resources.
Cooking is a great bonding activity you can do with your children at home. Not only are you teaching your children about the various food groups. You get the reward of tasting a dish you created together!
